How do I install the Doxna Chrome Extension?
Simply click "Add to Chrome" on our landing page or visit the Chrome Web Store listing for Doxna. Once added, the extension icon will appear in your toolbar - click it anytime to manage or view your in-page documentation.
How do I add or update documentation for a URL?
From your Doxna dashboard, click "Add Documentation," enter a title, your content, and set the URL match conditions. Save and then open any matching page in Chrome - your new snippet will appear instantly, with live preview.
What URL matching options are supported?
You can choose "starts with," "ends with," or full-regex matches to target dynamic URLs. Combine multiple conditions with AND/OR logic for precise control over where each doc snippet appears.
How do seats work?
Seats are for builders — the people who create and manage documentation in your Doxna dashboard. Each plan includes a set number of builder seats (Starter: 5, Growth: 10, Scale: unlimited). Admins can invite members and assign roles from the team management page. Need more seats on a fixed plan? Upgrade to the next tier anytime.
How do I verify that I own my domain?
After adding a domain in Doxna, you'll receive a unique TXT record value. Simply publish that record under your DNS for the specified hostname (e.g. doxna-verify.yourdomain.com). Doxna will periodically check and auto-validate once it's live.
What is token protection and why would I use it?
Enabling token protection generates a one-time 6-character code. Anyone linking your docs via the Chrome extension must present that token - ideal for private or internal documentation access.
Can I switch between monthly and annual plans?
Yes! You can upgrade from monthly to annual at any time from your account settings. We'll prorate your remaining balance. Annual plans include concierge onboarding and save you two months per year.
Do my end users pay?
No, never. End users — the people viewing your in-app documentation via the Chrome extension — are always free and unlimited on every plan. You only pay for builder seats (the team members who create and manage docs). This means you can roll out Doxna to thousands of users without worrying about per-user costs.
